Lords mixed indoor soccer team BXVI cruised to an easy 6-0 victory tonight, even though star defender Melissa Haydon rolled her ankle during the game, inflaming an existing injury. Without any female substitutes, Melissa elected to continue playing, pulling off a stellar effort denying Muito Loco several easy shots.
“Chiko” was his usual excellent self, ripping the opposition defense to shreds time and time again, scoring a couple of scorching goals including a spectacular scissor kick with his back to the goals. He linked up with Justin Carrick to score a great team goal where the two taunted the opposition goalkeeper until a simple goalscoring opportunity presented itself for Justin.
Dave Haydon, Tim Haydon, Lisa Haydon, Mike Haydon and Gerard Cummins played solidly. A well deserved victory that takes BXVI’s goal difference to 1300% after three games.
